HARDWICK – On July 4, at 5:13 p.m., the Hardwick Police Department received a report about a woman acting strangely and possibly on drugs at the storage units at 154 Vt. Route 14 S. Officers Morris, Donna and Sergeant Brunelle arrived and met Casandra J. Rich, of Hardwick, who was indeed behaving strangely. Rich advised she had consumed some crack cocaine, a violation of her conditions of release. Rich was cited to appear in the Caledonia unit of the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division, to be arraigned on the charge and transported by Hardwick Rescue Squad to Copley Hospital to receive medical attention.
