GREENSBORO – Novelist Ocean Vuong reads his poems on Sunday, July 5, beginning at 3 p.m., as part of the Back Roads Readings series at the Highland Center for the Arts. Readings are free and are followed by a reception and book signing with the poets.

Ocean Vuong, writer, professor and photographer, is the author of the novels “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous,” and “The Emperor of Gladness.”  A nominee for the National Book Award and a recipient of a MacArthur Grant, he is also the author of the poetry collections, “Night Sky with Exit Wounds” and “Time Is a Mother.”
