ESSEX – Three NEK Warrior age divisions were in action over the weekend at the Essex Shootout at Lang Farm.

The U10 Warrior soccer team highlighted the day’s action with a 2-1 record, narrowly missing out on a chance to advance to the Final Four. Ainsley Cadorette and Ty Billings shared goalkeeping duties and were key to the Warriors’ deep run in the tournament. Angel Rodriguez Diaz and Solace Cohen each scored multiple goals and were a lethal attacking duo.

The U12 Warrior team started out on the front foot with a gutsy win over the Red Hawks out of New Hampshire. The brother-sister duo of Asher and Rue Jacobs was solid in holding the right side, and Scarlett Polodin relentlessly won balls on her left side. Mason Koteas anchored the midfield, and Lucy Upson was a wall for the backline with several critical stops. The Warriors finished up the day 1-1-1.

Annaleigh Price, Gus Valcour-Greenia and Hayden Simms highlighted the Warrior U8 team.
