MONTGOMERY – Rose Witherspoon, daughter of former Craftsbury Academy Vermont All-State soccer standout Allison (May) Witherspoon, earned Mountain League First Team honors for her Richford softball team this past season.
Witherspoon, an eighth grader at Montgomery Elementary School this past spring, was outstanding offensively and defensively at second base for the Lady Rockets. Richford’s season came to an end at 9-7 with a second-round loss to Blue Mountain in the Division IV State Tournament.
