Folk Duo to Perform April 4

The “Hungrytown” folk duo of Ken Anderson and Rebecca Hall will perform at the Willey Building Auditorium in Cabot on Thursday, April 4.

CABOT – The Cabot Folk Club will present “Hungrytown,” Thursday, April 4, 7 p.m., at the Willey Building Auditorium.

Multi-instrumentalist and singer Ken Anderson and writer Rebecca Hall make up “Hungrytown,” a folk duo with arrangements, vocal harmonies, and a literary bent. “Hungrytown” create acoustic American folk songs with predominantly Irish and Scottish influences. Singer Rebecca Hall has composed most of the songs, weaving modern themes into traditional song structures.

Based in Townsend, “Hungrytown” has spent the last 20 years touring the United States and the British Isles. Their songs and music have appeared in numerous television programs, including “Portlandia,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and Netflix’s comedy “Lady Dynamite.”
