CABOT – Brett Hughes will perform at the Willey Building auditorium on Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m., presented by the Cabot Folk Club.

The country-crooner and bluegrass picker visits Cabot for a rare solo performance. Hughes has been a mainstay in the Burlington music community for decades. He spent years hosting the ever-popular “Honky Tonk Tuesdays” at Radio Bean. The number of bands he has worked with over the years include the Chrome Cowboys, Belle Pines, Cider House Boys, viperHouse, Mike Gordon And Ramble Dove, Whiskey Likkers, The Decentz, Fortune Tellers, All Fall Down and a great many more.

Hughes has cited a number of influences for his style, including George Jones, Merle Haggard, The Delmore Brothers, Bill Monroe, Johnny Cash and his own mother.
