EAST CRAFTSBURY – Saturday, May 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., Dave Rowell will host a benefit barn dance and silent auction at his Brassknocker Farm Barn on the East Craftsbury Road.
The barn dance was started in 2017 as a benefit for two local nonprofits, the Craftsbury Public Library, and the Craftsbury Chamber Players. After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the barn dance returned last May, with the addition of a third local non-profit, the John Woodruff Simpson Memorial Library.

This year’s dance features The WDEV Radio Rangers for dance music and a silent auction with over 60 items to bid on. The Craftsbury School’s PTO will be selling baked goods and Tatro Catering will have meals to buy. Blackbird Bistro is returning to provide the cash bar. Due to licensing and insurance restrictions BYOB is not allowed.
Tickets to the Barn Dance are a suggested donation, and can be bought at the door. To purchase tickets in advance, or view the silent auction items, go to Facebook or visit the barn dance webpage here: jwsimpsonmemorial.org/barn-dance-1.
