HARDWICK – Every Saturday in May, Hardwick Trails will have bird walks on the trails. Local birders will help those joining to hear and see who’s on the wing in the woods.
Elinor Osborn on May 11, Lucian Avery on May 18 and Marie Grabon on May 25, will lead the walks. Walkers should meet at the trails’ kiosk, behind the Hazen Union parking lot.
As of June 2023, birders had identified 86 species on the trails. The Hardwick Trails Committee sponsors these free events. For more information, call Norma Wiesen at (802) 472-6517.
