Share article

CRAFTSBURY – A FEMA update from Bruce Urie, Alison Blaney’s update on cleaned up delinquent taxes and hiring a delinquent tax collector began the April 16 select board meeting.

Phil Lovely has asked to add the name “Morgan Mile” to Town Highway 19 will require some study by Urie.

Kris Coville was appointed as a town service officer and Colin Netzley to the Conservation Commission as a regular member. The commission wants to create a Facebook group.

The clerk reported utility costs are a bit high and costs for making vital records available online has cost a little over $40k, when only $35k was anticipated.

The road foreman updated the board on dogs, trash and an insurance claim. NVDA’s road rep may be doing inspections and $32-$33k will be put toward ditching.

At a special select board meeting on April 23, the board met with auditors to review town benefits and update documentation, but made no decisions requiring a vote.
