Folk Duo Performs on May 16

CABOT – Multi-instrumentalist and singer Ken Anderson and writer Rebecca Hall make up “Hungrytown,” a folk duo that will perform on May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Willey Building Auditorium. With arrangements, harmonies, and a literary bent. “Hungrytown” creates acoustic American folk songs with predominantly Irish and Scottish influences with Hall composing most of the songs with modern themes into traditional song structures.

Based in Townsend, “Hungrytown” has spent the last 20 years touring across the United States and the British Isles. Their songs and music have appeared in numerous television programs, including “Portlandia,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and Netflix’s comedy “Lady Dynamite.”
