HARDWICK – The Tuesday, May 21, Hazen Union School Board meeting at 6 p.m. may see a crowd if community comments and letters to the editor are an indication of support for the school’s Ski and Ride program that is facing changes for the 2024/25 school year.
The meeting, in the school’s library, is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
School Board Chair Steven Freihofner says that there’s lots of space in the library and other spaces in the school are available if the crowd is bigger than the library can hold. He adds, ”The board will make sure everyone who wants to comment will have a chance to have their say.”
Community members can email the board in advance of the meeting at [email protected]. All school board members, the superintendent. the superintendent’s assistant and the principal will receive emails. To remain in compliance with open meeting laws, the board cannot respond directly to email, but all communication will be reviewed at a public board meeting.
The meeting can be joined with Google Meet at meet.google.com/xaz-tubj-bcx
