CRAFTSBURY – The Craftsbury Chamber Players’ 58th Season runs this year from July 10 until August 15. The Players will perform chamber music by a diverse assortment of composers spanning multiple eras each Wednesday (July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7, 14) at Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester and Thursday (July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8, 15) at the Hardwick Town House in Hardwick.
The first concert week is grounded in traditional classical and romantic fare. Their second week features the theramin, a wild electronic instrument that pulls music out of thin air. The third week includes music of Beethoven as well as three other composers. Week four will feature the 1920s and the jazz era’s influence on composers. Schubert fans will hear two of his works on the fifth week and the star of the sixth week is the clarinet.
