HARDWICK – Award winning novelist Howard Norman will read and talk about his new book, “Come to the Window” at The Galaxy Bookshop on Tuesday, July 16, at 7 p.m. The story, set against a backdrop of World War I and the influenza epidemic, follows an unexpected chain of events initiated by a murder in a Nova Scotia fishing village.
Norman is a three-time winner of National Endowment for the Arts fellowships and a winner of the Lannan Award for fiction. He has also received a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship, a John Simon Guggenheim fellowship, and a Whiting Award and has twice been a finalist for the National Book Award in fiction. He is the author of 10 novels, three memoirs, several short story collections, children’s books, and screen scenarios, and his books have been translated into 12 languages. Norman lives in Washington, D.C. and Vermont.
