To the editor:
On Tuesday night I attended the forum in Glover to listen to the candidates for the Orleans-Caledonia district for the Vermont House. All three of the candidates hail from multiple generations of Vermont heritage and spoke of their commitment to the families in our region through support of schools, housing, jobs and the justice system. But one candidate stood out in his understanding of the legislative process and his ability to affect change in Montpelier. After attending the forum, I have confirmed that David Kelley has my vote for the House. I don’t agree with all of David’s positions on issues he will be asked to address as my representative, but I have confidence that he will listen to my perspective and will consider the many nuances of legislative actions. And more importantly, he will arrive in Montpelier with the experience and connections to get to work for our region on the very first day. With the redistricting that occurred a few years back we only have one representative in the Vermont House and that representative should be David Kelley.
