To the editor:
I believe we need new energy, compassion, and a proven record of getting things done in the Vermont House, which is why Iām voting for David Kelley in the Democratic primary on August 13 to represent us in Greensboro, Glover, Craftsbury, and Albany.
New energy: David was a major force in getting the Highland Center for the Arts to come to our community. Itās a wonderful facility that has programs for all ages and all interests. David is a real conservationist, and has helped organize several educational conservation programs that have pulled neighbors together to learn about the natural world around us.
Compassion: I canāt imagine a better neighbor. Every time we have a problem, David Kelley and his wife, Kelly Robinson, are there to help. They run up when we need hay, put cones up when needed and I know they enthusiastically help others whenever theyāre asked!
A proven record: As a selectman, heās worked to strengthen the dog ordinance in town. My husband (from a family of five generations of hunters) and I have had a decades-long issue with hounds on our private property. One of the worst incidences was when a sow with her cubs was attacked right on our land.
Iāve never been very politically involved or even written a letter to the editor before. But my enthusiasm for David Kelleyās candidacy was too much to ignore! Please join me in voting for David Kelley on August 13.
