CABOT – Patricia Ellen (Cronin) Foster, 84, of Cabot died peacefully on Friday, July 26 at home comforted by her family and her faith.

She was born July 15, 1940, on the Mead Farm in Center Harbor, N.H., to Robert and Freda (Perkins) Cronin. The family moved to Marshfield, and then to East Hampton, Conn., where she attended high school.

In 1957 she married Calvert Foster of Cabot, and had six children. They returned to Vermont and settled in Hardwick.

While lending support to her husband, whose machine shop grew to be Caspian Arms, Patricia was an Avon Lady winning awards for her door-to-door sales. She worked in the hot lunchroom at Hazen Union School and operated Riverside Beverage. Pat liked country music, line dancing, playing the guitar, song writing, auctions, antiques, fashion and chocolate. However, her greatest joy was her family.

Pat was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Historical Society, both in Hardwick and the Society of Mayflower descendants. She will be remembered by all who knew her for being thoughtful, loving and kind.

Survivors include: four children, Julie (Walt) Ackermann of Cabot, Jayne Fradette of Morrisville, Scott (Ruth) Foster of Hardwick, and Amy (Kevin) Smith of Woodbury; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne (Donna) Cronin and Larry (Yelena) Cronin; three sisters-in-law, Martha Foster, Mary Shatney, and Lynn Cronin, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Bobby, her husband, Calvert Foster Sr., two sons: Eugene Foster and Calvert Foster Jr. and two grandchildren, Joseph and Carol Fradette.

Interment will be in the Durant Cemetery in lower Cabot.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Lamoille Area Cancer Network, P.O. Box 828, Morrisville, VT 05661.

Arrangements are in the care of Dian R. Holcomb of Northern Vermont Funeral Service, 60 Elm Street, Hardwick. Online condolences are welcomed at northernvermontfuneralservice.com
