HARDWICK HAIKU CLUB, every first Thursday, 5:30 – 7 p.m., The Civic Standard, 42 S. Main St., Hardwick. A time to read published haiku, brainstorm some Vermont kigo, or season words, and write your own haiku. No previous writing experience needed. Hosted by Mark Scott.

TRIVIA NIGHT, at the Village Restaurant, Hardwick, Thursdays, 6 – 8 p.m., unless there is a home basketball game. A limited menu of burgers and appetizers. Hosted by Sarah Tewksbury. First come, first serve event, with room for roughly 10 teams.

SUNDAY PAUSE, hosted by the Greensboro United Church of Christ, every Sunday afternoon in August, 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the church lawn (rain space is Fellowship Hall. An opportunity for everyone to take 30 minutes to pause at the end or the beginning of their week. Information: (802) 533-9244.
