Author Cobb Reads, Discusses New Book Sept. 9

HARDWICK — Barre author J. Peter Cobb will read and answer questions on Monday, Sept. 9, at 6:30 p.m., at the Community-Senior Center at 56 High Street. Cobb will read from his book, “Some Things Aren’t Meant to Be.”

J. Peter Cobb is the author of another novel “To Alice” (TouchPoint Press, 2022). Cobb retired as director of the VNAs of Vermont, the trade association representing Vermont’s Visiting Nurse Associations. He has been a reporter, grant writer, lobbyist and mental health worker. He coached middle school soccer for 25 years, 16 with girls and nine with boys. Currently, he is a correspondent for the Barre-Montpelier Times Argus and the Rutland Herald, a volunteer driver for the Vermont Association for the Blind and Disabled and a volunteer teacher for Vermont Adult Basic Education.
