To the editor:
I have recently had the pleasure of meeting our Democratic candidate for Vermont House of Representatives, Sabrina Butterick Morrison. If elected, she would represent the towns of Hardwick, Stannard and Walden.
I found her to be a smart, funny woman of integrity, very down to earth, and really easy to talk to. Growing up in the Charlie and Claire Butterick household in Hardwick and attending Hardwick Elementary and Hazen Union, she has a strong connection to our communities. As a school board member, working woman and mom, she has a keen insight into what it takes to raise a family in a rural setting and provide a good yet affordable education for our children’s future.
Sabrina is committed to affordable, high-quality healthcare including a full range of reproductive care; quality of life issues such as secure housing, livable income, affordable child and elder care; fair education taxes that rely more on ability to pay rather than property value; and, forward-looking climate policies that prepare communities for crises and reduce climate-warming emissions.
Our former state representative, Chip Troiano has fully endorsed Sabrina Morrison. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chip for his 10 years of service to our communities to support our veterans, secure affordable housing, and protect our environment. He has left big shoes to fill, and I am confident that Sabrina is up for the task.
Sincerely,
Robyn Cook-Hubner
