To the editor:
I support Sabrina Butterick Morrison to represent Hardwick, Walden and Stannard in the Vermont House, a seat that I have held for the past 10 years.
In the course of my service in the Vermont House there was often discussion about the legislature’s aging membership. I concluded that it’s time for veterans like me to turn the responsibilities of state government over to the next generation.
I found younger members that I worked with in Montpelier to be good policy makers: intelligent, energetic and caring. We’re fortunate to have the opportunity this year to elect Sabrina, a younger person with these qualities, to represent us.
Sabrina grew up in Hardwick, she went to Hazen Union and now resides in Hardwick with her husband and three school-age children. She serves our communities on two of our school boards and works at a local child care center.
She understands the district, and her priorities align well with our communities. Sabrina will support quality affordable education and affordable child care. She will not let our children or taxpayers down. She will also work to protect our older Vermonters, house the homeless, ensure quality health care, and take a measured approach to dealing with climate change.
So let’s pass the torch. Let retired Vermonters stay home, and elect Sabrina Morrison to be our next representative.
