She has Been Deeply Engaged in the Community

To the editor:

As a resident of the Town of Albany, business owner, and eighth generation Vermonter, I would like to formally endorse my life-long friend Leanne Harple for the Vermont House of Representatives.

Growing up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont to a family of dairy farmers, builders, teachers, writers, artists, and as a business owner, I know first-hand the importance of having someone local of my generation, and a life-long Vermonter to work for the interests of us all in Montpelier.

Leanne has been deeply engaged in our community for her entire life; as a teacher, select board chair, reporter, writer and mother, and knows personally the needs of working families and business owners, as well as the challenges of carefully stewarding our beautiful and precious landscape, and the importance of maintaining and cultivating the bonds that we all cherish as neighbors, friends, and family.

We are facing unprecedented challenges in many areas, both locally and globally, and it is my firm belief that the creative, progressive solutions required to navigate them are best served by the passion, intelligence and experience that Leanne has demonstrated in all of her past and current work.
