Free Webinar Series Offered for Dairy Farmers

BURLINGTON – A new webinar series will delve into topics of interest to dairy farmers in northern New England, including current dairy research and programs, funding opportunities, shared industry challenges and practices to improve dairy management and increase profitability.

The Tri-State Dairy Exchange: Navigating the Future of Dairy series  will be held on the last Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It is sponsored by the Tri-State Dairy Team and features presentations and roundtable discussions with Extension dairy professionals from the University of Vermont (UVM), University of New Hampshire and University of Maine and other guest presenters.

Although there is no charge to participate, a one-time registration is required to receive an email with the webinar link, which will work for all sessions. To register, go to http://go.uvm.edu/conferences.

Dates and topics for winter and spring include January 29, Grant Applications: Tips, Tricks and Resources; February 26, Ben and Jerry’s Low Carbon Dairy Program; March 28: Spotlight on the Dairy Farm of the Year awardees in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont; April 30, Virtual Fencing Update: Farmer Panel; and May 28, Crossover Event with the Maine Farmcast: Hay Crop Silage Production and Management.

All sessions will be recorded and posted to the UVM Extension Northwest Crops and Soils Program YouTube channel at  www.youtube.com/user/cropsoilsvteam.
