PLAINFIELD – – Plainfield Arts begins its 2025 concert series on Sunday, Feb. 16, 4 p.m., with Spencer Lewis and Pappy Biondo is at the Plainfield Opera House.
Lewis and Biondo bring their blend of bluegrass music to the stage, celebrating the release of Lewis’ latest album “Of Spirit & Friends.” Expect ballads, anthems and instrumental pieces, with Lewis’ signature cross-flat-picking guitar style and Biondo’s banjo riffs.
Sunday, March 9, Modern Times Theater will present The Baffo Box Show at 4 p.m. This performance blends object manipulation, junk music and comedy.
Sunday, April 27, the concert series will present Michael Arnowitt, classical pianist at 4 p.m. Arnowitt has performed across the globe, in Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Seoul and beyond.
The Celtic Band, Cantrip, will perform Friday, May 9 at 7 p.m. The band features border pipes, fiddle and vocal harmonies with traditional folk music and influences from funk, metal, bluegrass and more.
On Sunday, June 8, 4 p.m., J.T. Turner returns in “A Visit with Aesop.” Storyteller Turner’s one-man show features narration and audience participation.
