GREENSBORO – The Greensboro Initiative of Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity is seeking tool donations for the project to build a duplex home in Greensboro Bend. This project will result in home ownership for two working families in the community. The land has been purchased, construction plans are in hand, and RFPs are being solicited as the group gets ready to begin construction in the spring.
At this time, the steering committee is asking for tool donations to support the project. All kinds of construction tools are needed. The list includes shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, sledge hammers, small hand tools (hammers, screw drivers, pliers), all types of power tools, ladders of all types and safety equipment.
Donations can be dropped off in town at John Mackin’s Shop, 45 Cemetery Ridge Road, or by contacting Kent Hansen at (802) 533-2300 to arrange for pick up.
All items will be accepted. If an item cannot be used or there are duplicates, it will be donated to Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity’s retail outlet, ReStore, in Waterbury. All donations are tax deductible (to the extent allowed by law) through Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization.
