
HARDWICK – Sandra Worthen Valentine, 87, of Hardwick died peacefully, in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, March 4.
She was born December 27, 1937, in Montpelier; the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Worthen) Naramore. Sandy graduated from Montpelier High School in the class of 1955.

On March 28, 1958, she married George Valentine at the United Church in Hardwick.
Sandy was employed from 1971-1984 at Sprague Electric in Barre. She later worked for the First Vermont Bank in Waterbury and in the late 1990s, she retired from her office managerial position at Bethany Church.
Sandy was a very active member of the United Church of Hardwick, Circle No. 9 of that church and helped deliver community meals for the Thursday dinners at the United Church. She loved volunteering and time with her family. She enjoyed all sports including the Red Sox, Celtics, curling, Boston Bruins and family camping.
She will be remembered for her smile and her kindness to all. Sandy will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Survivors include her husband, George of Hardwick; a granddaughter, Kylie Valentine and her companion Eli Childs of Northfield; two great-grandchildren, Zander Leno and Sapphira Valentine, both of Northfield.
She was predeceased by her son, Richard Valentine.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m, at the Northern Vermont Funeral Home, 60 Elm Street.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 15, at the United Church of Hardwick, with Rev. Avril Cochran officiating. A time of fellowship will follow.
