Share article

MARSHFIELD — On Friday, April 4 and April 11, Central Vermont SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) facilitators  Shalini  Suryanarayana and  Kathy Johnson will host a two-part series using “Let’s Talk Race” conversation cards. The session will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Jaquith Public Library. This card deck was created by BIPOC (black, indigenous people of color) Vermonters to prompt discussion about racism, class and privilege, and shifting power. The series is designed to help people grow their ability and skill to have conversations about race, by providing a tool to expand mutual understanding, empathy and communication.  The sessions are different, but non-sequential. Participants can attend one or both. For more information call (802) 426-3581 or  contact [email protected]
