HARDWICK — The Galaxy Bookshop will hold a celebration on Wednesday, April 30, at 7 p.m., to wrap up Hardwick’s VerseVillage. Poets of all ages can sign up for a spot to read at Open Mic Night. Readings can be original work or favorite pieces by other authors and should be kept at or under five minutes. People may bring additional pieces, and if there is extra time, readers will be invited to return to the stage.

Fill out the registration form at tinyurl.com/GalaxyBookshop. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (802) 472-5533 or visit galaxybookshop.com for a full schedule of events and online shopping. The Galaxy Bookshop is located at 41 South Main St.

VerseVillage is Hardwick’s town-wide celebration of National Poetry Month. Fifty-three poets from 25 Vermont towns have their poems in windows along Hardwick’s Main and Mill Streets. There will be opportunities to meet other poets and to read their poems throughout April.
