HARDWICK – Classes taught by community members will be available for free the weekend of April 12 and 13 as downtown Hardwick is transformed into a university campus. Fourteen venues will host over 60 classes in the morning and afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. The course catalog and registration information can be found on the Civic Standard website at thecivicstandard.org

The weekend ends with Honky Tonk Night at American Legion Post #7, Sunday, April 13, from 7 to 11 p.m. Two-step lessons by Bud and Dot start at 7:30 p.m. A band of local performers, with guest singers, will start playing at 8 p.m.

The Civic Standard says to expect snacks, snazzy outfits, tinsel and two-stepping. All are welcome, whether or not they’ve attended a class. Admission is by donation. The American Legion will provide a cash bar.
