BARRE – An adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be presented
Saturday, June 7, 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 8, 2 p.m., at the Barre Opera House.

The story takes place in ancient Greece and opens on a love tangle that relies on a magic flower to unite the lovers. The production features choreography by director Christine Harris, Carissa Bellando and Brandy Perez. The show is performed by a cast of 60 dancers of all ages and levels and has original costumes by Emily Wheeler, Anne Labrusciano and Susan LaValley, sets by Joe John and lighting by Craig Mowery. Set to music by composer Felix Mendelsohn and others, this performance features fireflies, fairies, bumblebees and other characters.
