HARDWICK – Hardwick Electric Department customers (HED) recently received notice from the Vermont Public Utility Commission of a hearing on the department’s proposed rate increase.
The virtual public hearing by the Vermont Public Utility Commission is to “receive input concerning the tariff filing of the Town of Hardwick Electric Department requesting an overall rate increase of 13.24% effective June 1, 2025,” said the notice.
The virtual public hearing will follow an HED presentation Wednesday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m., where the Town of Hardwick Electric Department will describe the rate increase and be available to answer questions.
The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m., or immediately following the HED presentation.
