CRAFTSBURY – Jerry Schneider of Hardwick created The Butterfly Game in 2001, was a steering committee member of the Vermont Butterfly Atlas Project, and has visited libraries and schools to teach children about these insects for over 15 years. Schneider will bring his slides and displays of butterflies and moths, cocoons and perhaps some live caterpillars to the Craftsbury Public Library on Thursday, July 23, for a program at 6 p.m., “Discover Our Local Butterflies.”
Following the slide show, Schneider will help kids make a tee-shirt with butterfly prints to take home. Parents are asked to bring a white tee-shirt for each child if possible, to add to the tee-shirts the library can offer. For more information, call the library at (802) 586-9683.
