
HARDWICK – Christopher Charles Bartlett, 25, of Hardwick died July 7, at Copley Hospital in Morrisville.
He was born October 28, 2000, at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin; the son of Charles “Charlie” and Wendy (Fadden) Bartlett. He graduated from Hazen Union School in the class of 2019.
He loved spending time with his grandparents. He was a people person and was very outgoing. Chris was very excited to meet new friends and never forgot their names. He enjoyed the races at Thunder Road, but most of all he enjoyed all Hardwick emergency services. He was very devoted to the Hardwick Fire Department, Hardwick Police Department and EMS, even spending his free time listening to the scanner. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Everyone will remember him for his compassion and desire to help anyone around him. A true hero for his family, friends and community.
Survivors include his parents, Charlie and Wendy Bartlett, paternal grandparents, Floyd and Doris Bartlett, all of Hardwick, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert Fadden and Gaetane Fadden and two aunts, Sue Lasher and Caroline Bartlett.
A Celebration of Life to honor Chris will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 17, at the Hardwick Fire Department. His good friend and police officer, Scott Gagnon, will speak in his honor.
