HomeShare Vermont is expanding its reach into the NEK starting this month. Homesharers in Cabot are (left to right) Tracy, Mandy (the dog) and Jane.

GREENSBORO – A series of public meetings will offer locals the chance to become familiar with — and participate in HomeShare Vermont. The nonprofit is bringing its more than 40 years of expertise in matching hosts and guests for unique and fulfilling living experiences to Greensboro, Craftsbury and Hardwick for the first time.

Events will take place Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at the Greensboro Free Library; Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., at the Craftsbury Public Library; and Thursday, Nov. 30, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hardwick Memorial Building, hosted by the Jeudevine Memorial Library.

Attendees should come with questions about the home sharing model, interest in hosting guests — typically for a combination of rent and household assistance — and a general interest in the ever-evolving meaning of home.

HomeShare Vermont’s extensive matching process considers individual needs, interests and lifestyles for hosts and guests seeking services. Until this current expansion, it has served Chittenden, Grand Isle, Franklin, Addison, Washington, Lamoille, Orange and most of Windsor Counties.
