C.E. Carlson and wife were in Worcester Sunday.
Leona Baldwin was taken to the Heaton Hospital, Montpelier, Sunday night, and was operated on Monday morning.
Messrs. Dunham and Morse have been drawing Christmas trees to Plainfield, from W.I. Rickards.
The Ladies’ Aid held their annual sale at the hall Thursday night, which was well attended. A play was given, and several readings rendered. Leona Baldwin gave a talk on her visit to Washington D.C. recently. A quilt was disposed of, Mrs. A.M. Robinson being the lucky recipient. Supper was served. The proceeds of the affair amounted to seventy-three dollars.

Local Lumps
Several firemen and the motor truck with chemicals were called to Mackville Tuesday morning at about half past seven o’clock, the cause being a fire at the home of John Berry. The house was entirely destroyed, but the small barn was saved. The buildings were insured for about $500.00.
H.A. Girls vs. L.C.A. Girls.
The girls basketball team of Lamoille Central Academy at Hyde Park will play the Hardwick Academy girls team at the gym tomorrow evening at the usual time, while the H. A. varsity team is playing in Peacham.
The H.A. girls are an unknown quantity just now, but after his game it will be a different tale. Let’s all go and see the fun.
