GREENSBORO – On January 25 at 2 p.m., the Highland Center for the Arts (HCA) will hold a film screening for the documentary “Other Side.” Admission is by donation, get tickets at the door or at the HCA website: [email protected]
“Other Side” is a feature-length documentary about Lynda Bluestein’s journey accessing medical aid in dying in Vermont as an out of state resident. It premiered to sold-out crowds at South by Southwest Film Festival in March 2025 and has been touring the country since then. This screening of “Other Side” is co-sponsored by the NEK Death Care Community and Patient Choices Vermont.
The NEK Death Care Community is a local group of community members encouraging compassionate conversations about loss, grief, and dying, and connecting people with resources related to these topics. Patient Choices Vermont is dedicated to education about Medical Aid in Dying and end-of-life choice in Vermont. Members of both organizations will answer questions and facilitate a discussion after the film. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the filmmakers to support their continued work. The HCA is located at 2875 Hardwick St., Greensboro.
