Library Receives Another Grant

Share article

HARDWICK – The Jeudevine Memorial Library received a grant from the Association of Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) for $4,819. The library applied for the grant to help with furnishings for the addition to the library which will be built in 2023.

The grant has allowed the library to purchase 81 comfortable meeting room chairs and three chair dollies. The addition includes a meeting room for library programs and that will also be available to the public to use.
ARSL recognizes the uniqueness of small and rural libraries and is committed to providing an environment that encourages excellence within this community of practice, supporting their goals of service and speaking on behalf of this important constituency. Since one in three public libraries in the U.S. serve a population of fewer than 2,500 people, there is a great opportunity to support these library professionals that are often overlooked.
