BURLINGTON – Military teens, age 13-18, with a passion for mountain biking, climbing and other outdoor adventures, may attend the Northeast Kingdom Military Teen Adventure Camp, June 26 to 29 and July 10 to 13.

Any teen with a parent or guardian in the National Guard or regular armed services is eligible to participate. Vermont residency is not required.

There is no charge to attend the overnight camp, which will be held at Vermont State University (VSU), Lyndon in Lyndonville. All meals, snacks, dormitory accommodations and instruction and equipment for recreational activities are included.

The deadline to register is May 26 although early registration is advised as enrollment is limited to 20 participants per camp. To register, go to go.uvm.edu/adventure-camp.

No prior experience is needed to take part in the outdoor activities, which include climbing, high ropes course, disc golf, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and fitness training at various locations in the Northeast Kingdom. The camps also will promote leadership and resilience training, team building, self-confidence and mental well-being through a number of fun activities.

The camps are sponsored by the University of Vermont Extension 4-H Military Partnership in collaboration with VSU.
