Tick Talk April 27

Share article

HARDWICK – The Lamoille Valley Medical Reserve Corps will be at the Jeudevine Memorial Library on April 27, at 5 p.m., to present information on how to protect from ticks.

The corps says the best way to prevent tick borne diseases is to prevent tick bites, use a tick repellent that has been proven safe and effective and check daily for ticks. If bitten, remove ticks and watch for symptoms of a tick-borne disease. There will be tick removal kits available at the presentation.

The Lamoille Valley Medical Reserve Corps are community-based groups of volunteers who supplement local emergency and public health resources with their skills.

For more information, call the library at (802) 472-3899. The library is located at 93 North Main Street.
