GREENSBORO – The Mountain View Country Club Tuesday Night League will hold its annual season-ending golf tournament on Sunday, Sept. 24, starting at 10 a.m.
It will be an 18-hole scramble and a draft will be held prior to the start to form equal teams. Anyone interested in participating has to have posted at least one score with the league this year. Interested players are asked to arrive at the club before 9:15 a.m. on Sunday.
Once play is complete, the league will have a meal in the clubhouse. Cost for league members to participate is $10 per person with $5 to go towards prizes and $5 toward food costs.

Despite a wet summer, the league set an attendance record this year, averaging 41 players a night. The single-evening record of 55 players was set on June 20. A total of 88 players participated in at least one week of play this season.
The new league trophy, “The Mayor’s Cup”, is dedicated to longtime league standout Richard Brochu, who passed last June. The league also bought a perpetual plaque last year and it lists former league champions dating back to 2001.
The league lost two former champions this past year with the passings of Ian Drown and John Patterson. Sunday’s event will also be played in their honor.
