WINOOSKI – The Danville boys’ soccer team fell to defending Division IV state champion Winooski last week, before ending a seven-game losing streak with a hard-earned win against Blue Mountain.

Connor Winn netted a hat-trick to power the Bears past Blue Mountain at home last Friday 5-3. Team leading scorer Caiden Hill added two more goals for insurance and Josh Peterson made six stops on the day for the win. Blue Mountain fell to 0-10 on the season. Danville improved to 2-10 with the win, in what will be their final season before entering their co-op agreement with Twinfield-Cabot next fall to form CCSU athletics.

The Bears will look to move up the divisional standings this week as they wrap up the regular season with a trip to BFA-Fairfax on Wednesday, before welcoming Paine Mountain to town on Saturday for Senior Day.
