Hazen Union’s Daniel Pougnier (left) and Manny Fliegelman (center) and Magnus Hayden (No. 174) of Peoples Academy took the lead at the start of the 5K (3.1 mile) high school race on Hardwick Trails and they were also the first three to cross the finish line. The Hazen Union meet was held on October 18 with 20 high school runners competing from Hazen, Twinfield-Cabot, Peoples and Danville.
Hazen Union’s Manny Fliegelman (left) and Daniel Pougnier (right) finished the 5K (3.1 mile) high school race in a tie for second place at 24:06. First place was won by Magnus Hayden of Peoples Academy with a time of 22:17. Twenty high school runners from four schools participated in the cross country meet hosted by Hazen on October 18.
