ORLEANS COUNTY – The Orleans County Democratic Committee has new officers, part of the official 2023 party reorganization required by Vermont statute. At a meeting held remotely, on November 8, and attended by county town committee chairs and others, Joanna Burgess, an educational consultant from Westmore, was elected county chair.  Gina Campoli, the Craftsbury town chair and retired state environmental official, will serve as vice chair.

In addition, Clive Gray, a retired Harvard economist and Greensboro town chair will continue as secretary, a post he has held since 2015. Chris Evans, Westmore town chair, was chosen as treasurer and artist Liz Nelson of Glover and Ed Sunday-Winters of Greensboro will be delegates to the state Democratic Party.

Orleans County Democrats serving in Vermont State Legislature are Senator Bobby Starr of Troy and Representatives David Templeman of Brownington, Orleans 3, and Katherine Sims of Craftsbury, Orleans 4.
