MORRISTOWN – Rocky is a four-year-old teen who is ready for an energetic home.
When his owner became ill and unable to care for him, Rocky was surrendered to the North Country Animal League (NCAL).
Rocky is looking for a home to provide him with lots of exercise to get him into shape. He really loves people but is a bit enthusiastic in his greetings. “He is not quite sure how to control his excitement to meet you,” NCAL’s Karin Page explains.
His excitement is especially strong with meeting other dogs and he is unable to calm down in their presence. Rocky would prefer instead to be a solo pup. His need for solidarity means his walks would be better suited on private trails where he won’t encounter other dogs. Dog friends could be a possibility for him in the future but it would be a slow process.
This loving boy is ready for a lifestyle with lots of movement and privacy.
Eight year old Corey, who was featured October 23, has been adopted. Old Greg is still looking for a home. Information about Greg can be found in the October 6 Gazette.
Because Rocky is an adult he has an adoption fee of $275. The adoption fee includes being spayed and neutered as well as being up-to-date on vaccines.
Plan a visit to see one of NCAL’s pets like Rocky by going to NCAL.com and fill out a registration form, then visiting NCAL at 16 Mountain View Meadows Road, off Vt. Route 100, south of Morristown to visit. Reach NCAL at (802) 888-5065.
