HARDWICK – In December of 2024, Wellness 101 located in Hardwick, Vermont became the newest affiliate of Hyperbaric Vermont. Dr. Grace Johnston opened Community Hyperbaric in East Hardwick in 2014 and founded Hyperbaric Vermont in 2017. After decades of treating patients from the surrounding area in need of this hyperbaric therapy, Johnston aligned with Sophie Barsalow and Lindsey Scott of Wellness 101 to move the treatment office from Community Hyperbaric to Wellness 101, third floor at 101 South Main St.

“It’s been a pleasure teaching and training Sophie and Lindsey to take over the hyperbaric services that I was offering at Community Hyperbaric. I am confident in Sophie and Lindsey’s ability to treat those seeking this important therapy, and I’m thrilled that this treatment will remain in the Hardwick area.” says Johnstone.
Wellness 101 is an umbrella space, home to licensed wellness therapists including Cecilia Leibovitz of Vermont Gravity Colonics, Loren Searles of Integrative Massage Therapy, Lindsey Scott of Alkaline Lindsey and Marie Turmel of Facial by Marie. Wellness 101 is home to The Open Space Studio where weekly yoga classes, workshops and events take place.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen at higher than average atmospheric pressure. Increased pressure and oxygen levels have potent physical effects, including reducing inflammation, speeding tissue healing (brain, muscle, bone, connective tissue), fighting microbes, viruses, bacteria, and fungi and increasing neuroplasticity, spurring the brain to heal.
