Dear Friends of The Gazette,

If you’re a regular reader, this message is for you. Did you turn to The Gazette for coverage of Town Meeting Day? Do you depend on The Gazette to bring you the news, school sports, arts and community events from our area? When you get our weekly email rundown, do you immediately check out the new issue? (If you aren’t already on our email list, please sign up. All you have to do is give us an email address. Subscribers and donors who share their mailing address with us will receive our euro-style magnetic sticker to identify their support.)

This service is possible because of support from readers like you. Many residents of our 11 communities, and some who live far away, have stepped forward with donations ranging from $5 to $5,000. Hundreds have made a monthly commitment of $5, $10, $25 or more.

We’re asking you to step forward and make The Gazette an even better resource. If you’re a frequent reader, please join in this effort with a donation of whatever you can comfortably afford. Even a small gift helps prove that we are a vital community resource, which can help leverage large donations and grants.

If you’ve made one-time donations in the past, please consider upgrading to a monthly gift. Think of it as a subscription to The Gazette. Monthly donors provide a strong, reliable foundation for our efforts.

And if you have the means to do so, consider making a large donation of $500, $1,000, $5,000, or more. These major gifts help make The Gazette available to everyone regardless of financial status.

The Gazette is a nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible. We’re grateful to all who have supported us so far, and we look forward to welcoming more of you into this community enterprise.

With gratitude,

The Board of Northeast Kingdom Public Journalism
