BERLIN – While patrolling in the area of 1083 US Rte. 2 in Berlin, Officers located 20-year-old Solomon N. Croce of Greensboro Bend sleeping in his vehicle. Upon being woken, Croce attempted to move his vehicle, almost colliding with a police vehicle. After a brief roadside investigation, Croce was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
After being processed and released, Croce then pointed a firearm at Berlin Police Officers.
Croce was released with a citation to appear in Washington District Court on May 1, to answer to these charges.
Point of Clarification: The Berlin Police Department has no control over bail or incarceration. Those matters are handled by the judicial system, including the judges, court clerks and the state attorney’s office.
