EAST HARDWICK – The “Great December East Hardwick Cookie Event” expands this year, with cookie distribution to homes in and around the village to be held on Sunday, Dec. 14. On Sunday there will be a fire pit going at around noon on the river at 35 Main Street where a community soup and bread lunch will be served at around 12:30 p.m. All are invited.
At about 1:30 p.m., cookie deliveries will start. The drop-off for home-baked cookies will be Friday, Nov. 12, on the front porch at 35 Main Street. Cookies can be left anytime before 5 p.m. Volunteers to bake cookies may contact Ceilidh Kane at [email protected]. Two volunteers are needed at 4:30 p.m. Friday to sort the cookies into gift packs for delivery. Contact Gail O’Brien by email at [email protected] to volunteer. Volunteer to join the organizing committee and help plan this event by contacting Gail O’Brien at [email protected].
Contact Gail O’Brien about anyone who lives alone, or might otherwise appreciate a cookie gift, but doesn’t live in the village, so they can be included in the cookie delivery.
