Accident, retail theft.
HARDWICK – On December 1 at approximately 11:42 p.m., the Hardwick Fire, Rescue, and Police departments were dispatched to Vt. Route 15 near the intersection of Vt. Route 16 for a single vehicle crash. Investigation determined that Isaiah LaBlanc of Hardwick had lost control of his car in the “S” curves just west of Vt. Route 16. LeBlanc was not injured in the crash, and there were no passengers.
At the time of this incident LeBlanc had a cite and release arrest warrant for an LSA (Leaving the Scene of an Accident) in South Burlington. He was issued to appear in the Chittenden Unit of the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division, for December 2.
On December 2, Hardwick Police Department responded to a report of retail theft from Tops Market. The employees reported a male stole two 12-packs of beer from Tops Market. The male was identified as Justin Perry of Hardwick. Perry was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division, on December 29 for the offense of Retail Theft.
