Vermont Poet Lea to Visit The Galaxy Bookshop

HARDWICK – Poet Sydney Lea will visit The Galaxy Bookshop on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m., to read from his latest collection of poems, β€œWhat Shines.” A former Vermont Poet Laureate and winner of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts (2021), Lea is the author of more than a dozen published books, which include poetry, novels, essays, and a graphic novel. He is also the co-editor of β€œRoads Taken: Contemporary Vermont Poetry,” on which he collaborated with fellow Vermont poet laureate Chard diNiord.
