ST. JOHNSBURY – Catamount Arts and KCP Presents announce the vocal group, Naturally 7, on December 2, at 7 p.m., at St. Johnsbury Academy’s Fuller Hall. A confluence of musical traditions including a capella, gospel, doo-wop, and barbershop, New York’s “Naturally 7” also incorporates beatboxing and complex vocalizations to create a full band sound with no instrument other than their own seven voices.
“To call Naturally 7 an a cappella group would be a gross understatement,” reports the Kennedy Center, “for they performed songs with trumpets, electric guitars, bass cello, harmonica, a full drum kit, and more—using only their voices!”

Naturally 7 calls it “vocal play,” a form of unaccompanied music in which their astonishingly versatile vocals provide not just lyrics, melodies, and harmonies, but every musical instrument for every song. A tightly orchestrated ensemble of truly singers, their vocal choreography inspired the iconic Quincy Jones to declare the group “the future of vocal music.”

Their sonic mastery was on full display in a series of unforgettable performances on “The World’s Best” TV show, which premiered on CBS immediately following Super Bowl LIII. Hosted by comedian and “Car Karaoke” collaborator James Corden, “Naturally 7” reigned supreme as the world’s “Best Group.” Their 20-year career, includes three world tours, nearly 500 shows, including shared billing with Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Quincy Jones, Sarah Connor, Lionel Richie, Ludacris, The Roots, and more.

Counted among their world-famous fans are President Barack Obama, Will.I.Am., Ellen DeGeneres, Craig Ferguson, Bill and Melinda Gates, Jay Leno, Mo’Nique, Jools Holland, and Arsenio Hall, along with countless others.
